This is my new appartment and I'l be renting it for short period stays. You can rent one room, two, or the whole appartment with there three rooms all of theme with en suite bathrooms. Penthouse located in a former convent in the historic heart of Madrid's oldest barrio. Behind the classical nineteenth century facade lies the original staircase of the convent, by which this fully renovated flat is accessed.
The flat is in an unsurpassable location for the tourist, but retains a tightknit community. The atmosphere is very friendly and relaxed, and you can enjoy both the artistic and architectural monuments or the excellent restaurants and bars nearby at your own pace and leisure. 5 minutes by walk to the Plaza Mayor, Palacio Real, 15 minutes to the Prado, Reina Sofía and Thysen museums…
The flat comprises 3 rooms with 3 en suite bathrooms, two equipped with showers and one with an in bath shower. Of the three rooms, all with built-in wardrobes and two of which incorporate dressing areas, the third, a versatile attic space, can be used as guestroom, staffroom or as a playroom.
The common areas maintain the loft feel from the wide entrance area (this versatile space is used as a picture gallery and workspace) to the large open plan living-dining-kitchen space which opens out onto Calle del Almendro, the beautiful convent courtyards dominated by the sky and the vista of Madrid's rooftops .
The property is equipped with next generation amenities whilst painstaking respecting the period features and history of the building. Amenities include: under-floor environmental hit and fresh control, air conditioning and all kind off facilities, such a big led TV, dishwasher, washing machine and drier machine... The flat retains all original ceilings; from the painted ivory arches in the common areas to the original wooden beams of the old structure, preserved in the bedrooms.

The flat has strived to maintain a simplicity and respect for the environment and history of the buildings materials: wood, iron and cement applied and made by craftsmen.
The floor of the entire house, shower trays and bath are made of the same material: polished concrete made using traditional methods here in Madrid. The stairs leading to the rooms off and adjoining the gallery and reading area with are made of industrial iron.
The exceptional quality of interior features also extends to the graphite iron finishing’s windows, soften by the warm modern lighting and to the highest specification thermal and acoustic insulation. The furniture consists of industrial design icons and pieces designed by the architect, and others from family inheritance.

Me, as your host, will be glad to give you the tips of my city, as my 30 years of 100% madrilenian life, and introducing you to some madrilenian experiences if we have the chance,.
