Built in 1971 as a film set, Sioux City is considered unique in Europe, as not only the backdrops, but the full structures were built realistically: in other words, it is an authentic Western Town, with its Bank, Smithy, Saloon, Church, Sheriff’s Office, Cemetery, etc
Sioux City is located in a rugged, cactus-filled canyon of exceptionally wild beauty. Everything in it is an exact replica of the American Wild-West.
Over the past few decades, Sioux City has been THE place for daily Western Shows and nightly Barbecues and has been the set for numerous films, TV shows, videos, adverts, etc.
